ISEA Benefit Showing of Waterlife October 17, 2009

Thank you for participating in our “Waterlife” benefit this past weekend. You were a magnificent audience. When all was done you contributed a total of just a little over $13,000 to the Inland Seas 2009/2010 annual budget at a time when every dollar counts. We thank you for your generosity and for your presence in support our mission to protect our Great Lakes for future generations. The film gave us all a lot to think about. Admittedly, it was long and intense. Still, it presented those concerns that propel all of us who support Inland Seas to continue to fight for the health of the Great Lakes. There were a lot of folks who left the screening saying “I didn’t know that,” which underscores the importance of Inland Seas’ basic mission – education. We firmly believe that the future health of the Great Lakes depends on science, and that the scientists of the future are sailing on Inland Seas’ ships today. Thank you for sharing that belief with us. And thank you for your ongoing support of Inland Seas. We especially thank our event sponsor Northwestern Bank and Tim Haring at Peninsula Title for the matching challenge gift that helped us raise an additional $2,500 at the Bay Theatre.
