Join Inland Seas and help "Protect the Great Lakes Through Education"! Membership donations provide the resources for ISEA's growing work and activities in Great Lakes education and stewardship. Since 1989, ISEA has: Involved over 83,000 participants in ISEA shipboard educational programs. Trained over 1,000 volunteer instructors to teach aboard the Schoolship. Received the American Sail Training Association's 2001 "Sea Education Program of the Year" -- the first Great Lakes education program to receive this honor. Commissioned Inland Seas, ISEA's own 77 foot schooner classroom. Received Honorable Mention in the 1995 USA Today 's Coalition on Educational Initiatives' Community Solutions for Education national awards program. Constructed, with the Village of Suttons Bay, a new dock for the schooner. ISEA programs provide students with unique learning experiences on the Great Lakes. Your membership contribution is an investment in effective education for the future of the Great Lakes. ISEA is a nonprofit, tax exempt 501(c)(3) organization.
